Return to Monkey Island - Linux Version Now Available as Beta!
Less than a month after the arrival of the point & click adventure Return to Monkey Island, the game now has native Linux support. This is available as a public beta.
The Tweet that Ron Gilbert sent out contains a link to the instructions on how to opt-in to the beta…but the link to the guide is dead if you’re not logged into Steam and you have the game in your account.

Aya Neo 2 - The Most Powerful Handheld To Date
The Deck might truly have a competitor now with the upcoming Aya Neo 2 handheld. YouTuber Taki Udon described this handheld as “an entirely different beast” and is “the first real improvement” over the many other handhelds that Aya Neo made in the past.
For starters, the Aya Neo 2 sports the AMD Ryzen 7 Zen 3 6800U processor, which has eight cores and is capable of clocking up to 4.

There’s a YouTuber who you may not be aware of: The Deckverse. As you might have guessed from the name, The Deckverse (Timo) focuses on Steam Deck content. Things like:

Randomize Your Steam Deck Startup Videos - Here’s How
So, you found a bunch of startup videos for your Deck that you like. Maybe you found them over on Steam Deck Repo. But perhaps you’re a bit disappointed that you can only use one startup video at a time.
Well, the good news is you can randomize the startup video each time you turn the Deck on. This way, you always have something fresh to watch. And it’s relatively simple.
An Interview with Samus Prime, Founder of Metroid Prime Remastered (And Some Other Devs/Artists)
As someone who is quite fond of Metroid Prime, I had an opportunity to chat with a few of the developers/artists behind Metroid Prime Remastered (MPR). MPR is an unofficial mod that, as the team brings out in this interview, greatly enhances the lighting, shading, and overall graphics quality of the gem that was released 20 years ago. And because it’s using PrimeHack, it also incorporates all the benefits of that, including keyboard and mouse controls, dual-stick controller support, and an adjustable field of view slider.
An Interview with GDKChan, Founder of Ryujinx (Nintendo Switch Emulator)
When you’ve heard or looked up the term “Nintendo Switch emulation,” chances are you’ll come across one of two emulators: Ryujinx, and Yuzu. But you’re probably more familiar with the latter, as it tends to be the more popular emulator. After all, Valve themselves showcased Yuzu’s logo on one of their Steam Deck videos, only to quickly take it off after the Internet took the news by storm.
However, I like to give the more niche projects the spotlight they deserve.

You Can Now Force Screen Orientation with GameScope (Useful for OneXPlayer and Aya Neo)
Thanks to the ChimeraOS team, a new feature has recently been merged into GameScope: the –force-orientation option. Basically, what this allows users to do is to force the screen orientation via the command line when they’re using GameScope. A common problem that PC handhelds face – albeit for the Deck – is that the screen is in portrait mode rather than in landscape. With this merge, this problem can now be fixed with:
