Days Gone Now Steam Deck Verified!
Just posted today, Days Gone is now Steam Deck Verified. All the post shows is a screenshot with the green checkmark with all the requirements met, including full control functionality, Deck pad icons, legible text, and a decent default graphics configuration.
Nonetheless, it’s a massively popular title, one that’s been published by PlayStation PC LLC. Great to see a hit like this look and feel good on the Deck!

Slippi Launcher Version 2.5.0 Released, Adds Background Updates and an Important Linux Fix
Slippi Launcher version 2.5.0 released a few days ago. The developers acknowledged that this is a big version difference from the previous 2.1.15 release and said that they’ve “been hard at work on a lot of developer side improvements that will make it easier for us to work on some big features we’re really excited about.”
So first thing’s up, Dolphin updates are now transparent and done in the background. This means less waiting for the application to start.
WinesapOS Updated to 3.1.0 (Alpha), Adds Better Intel and NVIDIA Support
WinesapOS has been updated to 3.1.0-alpha.0. Primary new features to this update include better Intel and NVIDIA graphics driver support, the winesapOS repo has been added, and most of the pre-installed applications now come as Flatpaks.
Previously, since the Neptune kernel doesn’t support NVIDIA graphics, users who used GPUs from said company would get a black screen on boot. Now NVIDIA users can select Arch Linux, with Linux linux-lts (fallback initramfs) and still be able to use winesapOS.

No, Portal 3 Probably Won’t Happen
The podcast that Kiwi Talkz had with Eric Wolpaw – one of Valve’s writers – has been reported on by many media outlets. Specifically about bringing Portal 3 to life. “Let’s do it!” Wolpaw says. “I’m not getting any younger.”
But here’s the problem: Wolpaw doesn’t have much “power” at Valve. Someone higher up at the corporation would have to give the green light in order for them to even consider it.
A Game Developer Sheds Light on Linux Versus Windows Sales
It’s not often that a game developer reveals the sales numbers for their games. But I noticed a Reddit post by the developer of the puzzle game Rob Riches who goes over not only the total sales of the game, but how many copies were sold per platform.
A total of 266 copies were sold. 237 of those copies were bought on Windows. 27 were bought on Linux. That’s a little over 10% of total sales!
How to Use Smash Ultimate Mods with Ryujinx
As of Ryujinx version 1.1.112, users can now seamlessly load mods on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with the use of ARCropolis/Skyline. Here’s how to do it.
Note: this tutorial is based off of the guide from GameBanana, but specifically tailored to Linux users.
TL:DR
Get yourself set up with emulating Switch games on Linux with this guide if you haven’t already Download Ryujinx and run it for the first time Download ARCropolis, extract zip to %RYU_DIR%/sdcard/ Download Skyline, extract to %RYU_DIR%/sdcard/atmosphere/contents/01006A800016E000/ Download any mod (plenty of them over on GameBanana), extract them to %RYU_DIR%/sdcard/ultimate/mods/ Launch the game.
ARCropolis/Skyline Modding Support Added to Ryujinx
If you’re not familiar with ARCropolis, it’s “a modding framework for loading and managing community-made mods and plugins,” while making use of the Skyline on-the-fly patcher. Primarily this is for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but who knows, it could work for other games down the road.
Previously, making use of a mod or testing it required putting it on a hacked Switch. Now that ARCropolis and Skyline have been merged with the mainline Ryujinx build as of version 1.
