Godot 4 Alpha 10 Adds TAA and Conversion Tool for Godot 3.x Projects

Godot 4 Alpha 10 Adds TAA and Conversion Tool for Godot 3.x Projects
Godot 4 is a pretty major release for the open-source game engine. As such, the developers behind the project have entered into the double-digits territory: alpha 10. New features with this alpha include initial support for temporal anti-aliasing (TAA), a CLI tool to convert your older Godot 3.x projects to the version 4 API, and a TileMap terrain center bit to support “connect” and “path” draw modes. Here you can observe the difference in graphical quality with TAA disabled, per the pull request:

Them’s Fightin’ Herds Version 3.0 Has Landed, Adding Level 3 Supers

Them's Fightin' Herds Version 3.0 Has Landed, Adding Level 3 Supers
Them’s Fightin’ Herds – a fighting game featuring adorable animals – has finally received an update. The last update was shipped in February. But we’ve got some great things to look forward to with the 3.0 update. Probably the biggest thing is the introduction of level 3 supers (have a look at the trailer; they’re pretty flashy). This will certainly change the meta of the game, for sure. All characters have been adjusted, whether cosmetic features have been added as part of their moveset, some of their moves have been balanced, and/or received bug fixes.

DRAG Will Finally Be Getting an Update with a Campaign Mode and Progression System

DRAG Will Finally Be Getting an Update with a Campaign Mode and Progression System
DRAG is a tough-as-nails racing game that’s available natively on Linux. It went to Steam in early access, and it hasn’t been updated in over a year (and unsurprisingly, the developers didn’t get back to me when I asked on their Discord how progress was coming along). But now it seems like we’ve finally got an update. Not an actual software update; just a general update on what the roadmap for the game is.

Characters Finally Breathe New Life with Voices in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl

Characters Finally Breathe New Life with Voices in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl got a much-needed quality-of-life update. Previously, characters had no voices, although you could technically mod them in. It made matches feel empty. Well that’s no longer the case as of today’s update. All characters now have voices as they jump, do a smash attack, or taunt. I’m happy to see my favorite character, Jenny Wakeman, still voiced by the same actress as the show that she was in: Janice Kawaye.
