True to Double Fine Productions’ word, Psychonauts 2 is now available natively on Linux. The Mac port coincides with this update, along with two new text languages. The stability for the Strike City checkpoint at the end of the level has also been fixed. They left a few notes regarding both the Linux and Mac versions. Here’s the rundown for the Linux version: save file location is in ~/.config/Epic/Psychonauts2/ game may crash on launch or when changing the Display settings.

Following the news that iFixit somehow “accidentally” leaked the Steam Deck parts page, the page quickly got shut down. Orders that were made while the page was live were still honored though. Just a few days later, though, and the page is now back up. Unsurprisingly, some of the components are either unavailable (such as the battery and the screen) or have limited quantities. Once the parts do become available, though, you could technically build your own Steam Deck, although it’s going to be a lot more pricey than buying it through Steam.

The PlayStation 2 emulator PCSX2 gets a much-needed UI overhaul. The wxWidgets library that the developers were using before has now been replaced with Qt. Now it looks much cleaner. Looks like we’re starting off a pretty strong week. Two titles have either received a Linux version or will be in the near future, and two titles have received Steam Deck support. Psychonauts 2 should be releasing on Linux later this week too if everything goes according to plan. Swordbreaker: Origins now has a native Linux version, and along with the update came a few fixes. Casebook 1899 is an upcoming point-and-click mystery adventure; the demo will come on May 31 with native Linux support.

Following last week’s update to Proton Experimental, Valve/CodeWeavers are back at it once again with today’s update. Not only do we get the usual round of bug fixes and newly playable games, but those of you who previously couldn’t play Final Fantasy XIV due to the new launcher should now be able to play the game again.
